    Posted: 16 June 2006 at 4:18am
I need help.. I just got an A-5. I played my first game with it and it worked awesome. When I got home I tried taking it apart and was having a hard time all of the inerds should just slide out but my power tube or valve seems like it is almost to big for my gun. What should I do?

You have to either screw the velocity adjusting screw all the way in or take it all the way out to remove the power tube.

Read the manual , I'm saying this not to flame you , but many people come on the forum after demolishing thier marker when all they had to do is read the manual . Most of the problems here are self induced.

Well yeah I know I need to take the whole gun apart but should I get tippmann to send me a new power tube? ( its not the velocity adjuster) The power tube itself fits really tight in my gun.

It just may be the over-spray when it was manufactured. Have you polished the inside ( removed the over-spray)?

No... How would I go about doing that? And All of my other parts seem to go in just fine.--Wait I guess it would be the only thing up there and it doesnt really get stuck in the back. Let me start over. I took the gun apart to get the power tube took the power tube out then put it back together (to see if it would slide back in) I can get it in until about an inch is left hanging out.

take your gun apart and wipe down everything inside with a paper towel to its dry then if it is smooth or there is ruff stuff in the way ware the power tub is or slides out then use some steal whole and get out the ruf stuff and make it smooth, then rinse it out good and get all the shaving and crap out of there and then lube up the inside and then put it back together (leave the powertube and stuff out) after puting it back together (the 2 recievers) lube the power tube up and everything that gos in. now slide everthing in and put everthing pack on.

why would they send you a new powertube when your vertical adaptor is cross threaded?

Pro-seals are very funky.  I went through 3.  My third was finally a correct fit.  Complain to them about their crappy manufacturing.  And demand a new one.

Shut up and help.

The VAS when cross threaded will ruin a powertube. It is very important that you be very careful with anything that screws into the powertube.

And there is no way your powertube could be too big...it came out, it must have been there at one point.

It'll take some time, unfortunately. They are reasonably prompt, I would wait another week and a half before getting too worried.
