The E-grip because if you have quick fingers it can fire faster, it's tourney legal and its freakin awsome.(I have one)

not ne thing against pachnerg but i have heard that the electronics in the e-grips can sometimes screw, i have some friends that rarely play with us b/c their e-grip screws up, and r/ts take up WAY to much CO2, so that's y i got a double trigger and juss walk it.

E grip for tournies, R/T for woodsball...  R/T is not legal in sanctioned tournies...  R/T does not take away any... ZERO... co2!!!  It works off exhaust co2, just like the cyclone does!  You can have a double and an E-grip or R/T... you can set the E for semi and "walk it" or turn the R/T way down and do the same.  Careful though!  A lot of playing fields don't allow general admission players to use either.  That is the only reason I have not upgraded to one yet.  I've messed around w/ the R/T on a demo and it is sweet once you learn the sweet spot!

The A-5 might use excess gas to ulilize the Cyclone and or R/T be it's still a gas hog. I'd get the E-Grip, it's a sear tripper but it's still better than R/T in the long run.

Pretty much agree 100%. You basicaly are stuck with the E-Grip as the only option if you want to play tourney or at most organized fields. Although, even a woodsballer may prefer the E-Grip, of course, it's just personal preference.

Personally, I had the money to get the E-Grip when I bought my RT, but I still got the RT. But that's mainly because I play a lot of renegade in the river by my house and rarely go to organized fields, and even when I do I tend not to get much guff because I don't even shoot fast usually.

I would kinda wait on an E-Grip right now because it looks like a WAS board is coming out for it so you may wanna wait and see what happens with that...it's basically a superior chip than the stock one in the e-grip.

*Edit* And in my experience, my A5RT doesn't waste much more gas than my M98C.....really not noticable or anything to gripe about at all compared to any other semi Tippmann.

I have the R/T on my A-5 and i love it. In the long run i guess the e-grip is better. But im partial to the R/T and it hasnt let me down yet. But the directions to install it are not specific at all. Not as simple as replacing the grip.

The problem with the Egrip is that its not as durable, waters a problem. Though it does have full auto.

Actually, there now is a M98C-pro w/E-Grip....but I don't think the grip would fit on a M98C...it needs to be the pro version, and I'm pretty sure you have to buy the grip with the gun.

I have a R/T and was thinking about switching to a E-grip with W.A.S. board.  Is it a simple bolt on or do I have to remove any of the R/T components.  I want my A-5 to shoot faster since my brother just got a Angel Joy Division.  Also do I need to get anything else to help my A-5 shoot faster other than the E-Grip

the response is limited to the firing modes and how fast it can fire, but the egrip can do all the rt can and more pluse its just cooler. if you set up the right trigger on a egrip you can only do a burts that you need in a heart beat while the with the rt you have to think about it and if you miss the sweat spot you could end up out of the game real fast

If you have the newer 98c's then you can put the e-grip in it. Otherwise you need the custom pro or A-5.

Go with the Egrip if your 98c can accept it.
