I was thinking about getting the: 98 custom e-grip with WAS board. It's about 120$. Is it worth it? also, If I get that.. Would the View Loader Revolution 12v with Tri Pod Option be a better loader for it then the Richochet 2k or should I keep the ricochet? loader -http://www.canadianpaintball.com/main/access/hoppers/viewloa der.htm Thanks. It's definately worth it if you want to get into the speedball scene or you're just looking for a little more "umph". The Revvy will keep up with it but not for long if you really start to shoot. I'd suggest looking into an Eggy.

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

Would the ricochet do any better then the Revvy? Because I might sell my ricochet for 60 and get a revvy for 40. One more question, I could also get the cyclone but Is that hard to install? Oh and yeah It's definately for speedball. There's a tourney in a month. Edited by KoolKidsKlan - 26 June 2006 at 8:25pm |

What does the actuall e-grip kit look like? When you install it is there any milling or complicated stuff nessasary to install it? How hard is it to actually put in your gun and work it? Edited by KoolKidsKlan - 26 June 2006 at 10:30pm |

I honestly am not too familiar with the E-Grip for the 98. But I would
imagine it's a piece of cake to install if you take your time and
follow the manual... I doubt you'll have to do any milling. I wouldnt
think Tippmann would have any flaws in the frame that would have the
E-grip not fit properly into the grip. I'm sure it's easy...

It is a piece of cake to install. TIppmann already has everything hollowed out for you so theres not much work.
They call them drop in kits for a reason. |

^ Yea it will be easy. My Apache is great, and the A.C.T makes it posible to not even use e hopper. Can rip at 11bps inconsistently because the hopper dosn't feed,(gun still cycles at 11bps) but its a nice feature in the newer tippmanns, not even sure if you have A.C.T but whatever.
Go for the Egrip. PSP ramping sure is swell.

Ramping is dumb.
Anyway, with that said I would highly suggest you NOT get that hopper. Riccos are slow, revvy's are faster, but Empire Reloaders have been proven to be the fastest of the three. Price...identical. |

Like psp ramping to 15.4 bps instead of 15...just so the counters wont round up and they can get a bps extra every 2.2 seconds....how cheap and stupid.

Ramping has ruined my field. The last time I played paintball was two months ago, before that it was TWO YEARS. There used to be four groups at my field. The local team, the wanna be local team players that will invest $10000+ into trying to be on a team, the teen and 20 year olds who wanted to have fun, and a couple young kids (less than 12). Since ramping, there are now two groups, the team and the wanna bes, and then there is everyone else. Everyone else is gone except a group of "regulars" who are young kids. I'm sorry, but I just can't stand playing with 10 YEAR OLDS who have angels, cockers, and DM6's and don't even know how to properly adjust their velocity by themselves. Worse yet, they don't follow google rules, and they don't follow barrel plug rules. I'm not sore about it, it just isn't fun for me to go to a field, show someone how to use a $1500 gun that their parents bought for them, only to suddenly appear right next to me in a 3' by 3' cube in the middle of the field in the middle of the game. While trying to fit in this bunker with me, asking where they should move and what they should shoot with. Only for the game to turn the other way and get pinned down, have him freak out, lean into the airball bunker too hard, pushing it forward slightly, leaving me out in the open to get lit up. This was not a one time thing, almost every game this happened with a new kid with rich parents. What does this have to do with anything? Because of ramping, there is no way I can even play with the wanna be team members at the field because I will be honest, I can't keep up. Don't go off saying I suck, because I ALWAYS play against e-bladed cockers, shockers, imps, and ions when my friends come to the local field. The refs ref games with just us so I don't have to play with kids that don't know what they are doing, or people ramping that you have to ramp to keep up with. |
