hey guys i've got an a-5 with a cyclone feed system. Im not gonna be extremely fast or anything but i want to get rid of my huge hopper. (and i think the qloader is cool looking for milsim) give me your thoughts on the qloader compared to the cyclone. If i buy the qloader i will sell my cyclone (how much do you think i could get out of it) oh and please tell me exactly how the qloader works.  thanks

a long spring in the middle of the tube unwinds the pod and pushes the balls out at about 100 fallrate and 35+feedrate depending on how you mount it. there is no pressure on the balls in the tube untill they are inserted on the marker so storage will not be a problem..

they hold 100rounds each. a 2 pod system is 80$ and 20 for each aditional pod unless you get the 5 pod pack where u get a small discount.

it is imperative that you read the manual before using it, or i guarantee you will a: break paint
b: have all the balls in the pod fly out

loading the pods takes geting used to and gets faster with more practice.

advice: preload the tube before u put a pod on ( you only have to do this once)
if the pod does not come off because of a ball. shorten/lenghten the hose 1/2 inch

if you are very trigger happy dont get this, unless you want to buy lots of pods, because once on the feild whats in ur pods is all you have.

Q-Loader has a web site that goes into a pretty complete explanation on how the system functions.
http://www.qloader.com/packages.html
The only draw back is slowness to refill the spring loaded pods. New pods are at least $25 each (so you don't want to loose one). It is a shame that a loader system that can supply paint at such a high rate of speed is slow to refill and the pods hold only about 100 rounds each.

it would take 5 seconds to load the pods if they put an agitator in the banana thing...i taped a revvy to the hose and it works 100000X better/faster

i had a qloader ordered but it never came so last friday i cancelled it.

theyre pretty nice in my opinion but the pods are huge for only holding 100 balls.

very fast but that can be an advantage or a weakness.

do they make anything like the qloader but insted you have a backpack to hold your paint? insted of 100 rounds, you could have 1000 on your back feeding to your gun.

is this possibe?

A couple of months ago someone posted exactly what you are talking about. A backpack with a feed mechanism feeding through a hose to the marker. Electric feed that was turned on when the trigger was pulled. He included pictures. I do not remember the subject line.

naw. he's got an a-5, and if im not mistaken, they wont fit on a 98, so the only people who could use the cyclone theoretically already have one. the only reason they would have to get a new one is that they broke thiers beyond repair, or they themselves got a q loader and lost the original cyclone. i dont see him getting much more than 30 out of it.

Hybrid-Sniper got it. But here is the web site.

http://www.turtlebackpack.com

Something like this could be set up to feed any marker. Wonder if it has made it on to the market yet?

if the only reason you want to get a q-loader is because you want to get your "big" hopper out of the way (to avoid getting hopper hits i presume) then dont because if you are getting hit in your hopper then it is not the hopper that is your problem, but it is your style of play.  Learn to play with your gun closer to your body and not lean out of a bunker with your hopper sticking out just take a quick look without your gun. If you dont think you are doing this ask a friend what they saw first and then try to keep what ever it is they saw closer to your body. but if you like the way the q-loader looks then go for it.  it is a great system.

If you watch the UAPL  paintball tournaments  on WGN TV (cable in my area) you will see that a large percentage of hits are on the hopper. Many times they can duck their heads out of the way fast enough to avoid a hit in the goggles, but the hopper takes it. The concept of the way the Q-Loader works is fantastic, just not sure that it is done as well as it could be. I am working on it.

the q loader is still fairly new, so they have time to fix any bugs, they already have since they came out. maybe later versions will have the agitator in the banana
