i have a custom pro with the stock drop but i dont know whether it would be smart to stick with it or to buy a new one which dop should i get if i did switch

the custom pro drop is 5 1/2 inches long and the shoctech is only 5

Look around for some other drops... Go to Action Village and look at their selection.
