    Posted: 09 July 2006 at 11:09pm
Ive been out of paintball for a while, but now Ive been getting back into it. Heres what I got, ill tell you what I want, and somebody tell me if I can do it.

98 custom
expansion chamber
dye ultralite
response trigger
(currently on co2)

I am switching to compressed air. I would like to run low pressure. How do I go about doing this on the tippy? Is there a way to run the rt with a low pressure kit? Can I just install the low pressure stuff and then re-install the rt? If I cant accomplish this, what do you recomend?
I see alot of guys running low pressure with an ebolt, is this the way to go?
Custom painted 98c
Polished Internals
14" dye Ultralight
Low Pressure Kit
Empire Regulator
Super RT
12v revvy
x-board
Vortex Impellar
72/3000 Comp Air.

yes. you would need a bigger hose for your rt. or if your gun receivers is capable, you can get a e-trigger. (i would sugest the etrigger over the rt)

so, what special moldings do I need for the e-trigger? Its an older 98 custom. I got it in 03 I believe. Im on a budget. Thats why I was hoping I could still run the rt.

Edit: - AND what regulator do you suggest with the lp kit? Also, will the lp kit allow me to get more shots off of a comp air tank?

#1) u can not use the e-grip cuase it is too old...i ran into that probelm also

#2)u can run the r/t as long as u call up tippmann and tell them u have the lpk and r/t and they will sent the stuff to u(FREEBIE)

#3)i would get a palmers stab so u never have to worry about something happening or buying another one, if thats too much($80)then u can get a bob long torpedo reg for around $50

#4)yes yes yes, u will get more shots outta it becuase u aren't using too much when u shoot, it lowers the pressure from 800psi to 400psi to yes, u will get like 1/3-1/2 more shots

Co2 will work as long as your HPR is tolerant of C02. Stabilizers are the classic choice.

Sure, your operating at a lower pressure, but because of that a higher volume of air is needed to propell the ball the same speed as the higher pressure.

You will get a few more shots, but not many.

That's kinda like saying your 68/4500 800psi out will get about 6 shots. 800 out each time right?

I currently have the super r/t installed, and then installed the lpk. I have not had any luck with my r/t working now, so I am taking it off and puting in the e-grip, but keeping my cyclone. If you are going to run just the r/t, and not an r/t cyclone combo, it probably would work fine for you.

I am using the AKA Sidewinder reg. It is a little cheaper than the palmer and it works great, but if you are going to use HPA and CO2 you should prob. get the palmers.

But you don't get twice as many shots from the tank because your operating pressure is cut in half, which is what you said.

My new setup is in my sig now, if it all works. lol

Ive installed the low pressure kit. Ive got a baggy of parts from tippmann for the RT. And Ive got a reg on its way. I have two questions.

From the parts I got from tippmann to make the rt work... Where does the lp orphace - aka little metal reducer cylinder - go? Just in my rt hose somewhere? or do I even use it? I'm actually wondering if its not for the cyclone?
Also, Is there anyone running an empire reg? I know I asked about it before, but I still really dont know about it. Everyone is out of bob longs, Ive ordered two, and both places called me afterwards and told me they were out of stock. I agreed to try an empire regulator. The guy seemed to think it was high enough pressure for me, but Im not sure. Whats the max output? Hopefully I have some sort of working reg for this weekend.
