hello. im sitting in my house and there was a bolt of lightning that hit my tree in the back yard.  it was kinda cool. -i saw it come down the hit the tree. and now the tree is half gone

the last time i was in a thunder storm was when i was camping out in a tent on this lake. -the next thing you know, we look up and theres a funnel comming down. -yes this was in maine. crazy i know

I saw a lightning strike right across a river from me once, that was close enough.

There was a big storm last night around where I live. There was an estimated 500 power generators out. It's almost the same time next day and theres an estimated 500 or so street lights still out oO

We don't get em too bad here, but there was this one storm that was really close and it felt like the house was gonna separate from the foundation.

But I have never been cool enough to see a bolt hit the ground.

That seems like an awfully big number...   I would think if 500 power plants went down it would make national headlines (not to mention major problems).  Unless you mean 500 backyard home generators?

Lighting stuck my driveway once when I was just walking out the door... It hit so hard I fell to the ground because my knees were shaking so bad...

At Philmont lightning struck pretty damn close to us and it was loud enough to make one of the guys drop to his knees.
