Don't forget a couple of pairs of socks in case your feet get wet, etc...and bring lots of water with you.

That means that there aren't going to be any organized teams playing that day.

Umm, Win or lose  , keep this in mind .

You're gonna be playing against people that have more experience and knowledge than you currently have , you're gonna get hit a lot to start , first thing to learn is how not to be an easy target .

The ideas at this site are good for either speedball ,or woodsball , watch and learn ; http://webdog.specialopspaintball.com/

Have fun , be safe , and Good Luck !!

SL68-II , micro honed and polished .688" bore . Tuff Enuf .
Widowmaker , under construction

wear long sleved shirts preferably something not bright but it wont really matter.

most places have lockers you can rent.

tips: look to the more experienced players for help but dont let them boss you around. keep mask on and follow rules.

and youve never played before yet you have a gun?

from their website it looks like field has little bit of everything, good place to begin with

oh and remember not to be scared to move up the field, you will have a lot more fun even if hit more often

did u get it used?

20ft rule: when you're close you yell mercy and they will either go out, or decide to stay and try to attack you back, in that case shoot back.

long pants always. i dont mind playing in t-shirt but always pants

Go with pants. As for the 20ft rule, whenever I'm in that situation, I yell "Give in 3, 2, 1." If they dont give up, I shoot.

Remember to play safe, stay hydrated, and have fun. Let us know how it goes.

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

If they don't give up when your within 20ft dont be to much of an *** by shooting them somewhere it hurts more, instead  shoot them in the foot or mask. They'll be glad you did it. oO But then again they did want a fight...Thats just what I do though..

I wear a black hoddy with gray pants. if ur going woodsball then try to cover up anything brightly coverd   ( strap for googles, gun, shoes ) with some type of dark clothing.

You probably wont get that close anyway. The only way stuff like that happens in woodsball is if you are hiding in brush and they dont detect you while they're walking by.

Unless you are very sneaky. And BTW, Have good sportsmanship, dont be a jerk

Well said man. Also check out this site. It might not help you with tactics, but when you start getting more serious about woods it can be an awesome place to get gear.

when do you go?

oh abd be forewarned that the worst place to get hit in my opinion is the neck.

the ball wont break and itl feel like a punch in the neck

Neck isnt that bad, I'd say worse is in the balls.. by a lot.

I got hit in the neck from 20 feet, it bled but barely hurt.

My advice to you, Is try not to be too trigger happy and end up wasting balls.. But don't sit around not really helping your team.

Try moving up whenever possible and giving your teammates cover and if they ask you to do somthing nicely, listen to them. Getting hit doesn't hurt when you're having a lot of fun so run around, get some hits, take some hits and get used to the game but always remember to have fun.

Stay low, play smart, drink water, and most of all have a good time.
