My macroline on my Imp is a bit leaky and I can hear it. If I cant fix it myself I'll just get a new one. They arent expensive and I can get one at my proshop cheap but It sounds like its coming right from where the macro goes into the elbow. I turn the gas On, and it starts to leak. I turn it off and shoot the rest out of my gun and it stops. Turn it on again, leaks. Dunno what to do. Would like to fix it if theres an easy way at home but if not I'll get a new one I guess. |

99% of the time that means that the macroline either wasn't cut straight or wasn't inserted properly. I would check the cut first, then make sure that it is inserted all the way in. It is almost impossible for macroline to leak. Burst, yes - leak, no. |

Yeah I've had the problem with cutting it before.. I just cut it with a cutter and it pinched it so it wans't a perfect circular shape... Your best option to cut it is with a razor blade... |

The actually macro isn't leaking so it must be the cut, because it's coming from where it goes into the elbow. |

Ok. I guess I'll go get the proshop to put in a new one. Also I heard not to take out air when you got HPA in. So I guess I'll use it up and then take it out. |

You don't have to shoot out the tank to take it off - you just have to depressurize the gun first. Then take the tank off, then take the macroline out and check the cut, then reinsert thoroughly and pull the fitting ring.

Depressurize as in turning the On/Off off, then taking out the tank? Then I take the ring off check the macro and put it back with the ring again? Ok got it.. |

Depressurize: turn off the on/off, then shoot the gun until nothing happens (and use bleed valve, if you have one), then take off the tank. Edited by Rambino - 27 July 2006 at 10:57am |
