Win local tourneys, or at least do well in them. That will allow your resume` to swell, and with that you can get better sponsors. At the same time, it will be easier to recruit.

Enter some tourneys and do well at them. Go to your local field and let people know you're looking. With continued success and growth, you should be able to get bigger sponsors. As for a name, go with something exotic. |

do tourneys first, after you start placing high in tourneys then start looking for sponsors. You dont want to go up to a store and say can u sponsor us, we havent played a tourny yet. You have to go up and be like we have won these tourneys placed second in this ect ect ect. Also handle it in a mature manner, dont just go up to a store owner and say sponsor me. MAke it professional show them what you can do for their store, as in letting people know about their store or field. stuf like that

whos your gear sponsor??
play in tournaments and do well. You wont really get anything big unless you play nppl/psp or place really well in a series like GPL,Cfoa,Nepl,CCPL. |

I like Yomillios and Styro's ideas. Be like (insert landscaping name here) Yard Boyz. Like have a grass design on the jersey. That'd be pretty cool. |

You'll need at least 5 for a decent team.
Three man around these parts sucks.(I'm about 20 mins north of Boston). Check out http://www.thenepl.com They run a 5/7 man series, and a 3 man beginner/rookie series. Decent players. Reffed by the Hurricanes. 3 man tourneys are on better fields(not enough parking to accomodate the 5/7) with turf, a full Xball field, and a full NPPL field. http://www.fox4paintball.com They have a 3 man series and a 5 man series. Decent competition. 5 man teams pretty much all play the NEPL. Field is on turf, and they have a full NPPL field. Those are the two best tournaments around. I'd suggest getting a 5th guy and not worry about tournaments(for now) or team names. Team names only matter for registration and points. Start going to some local fields. Look for decent 5 man teams to play with. I wouldn't even look to enter anything until the end of summer. Practice together. As far as the woodsball team goes, you don't really need it. If you are not really looking for tournaments then you'll be playing rec in the woods. Your team doesn't really matter on a walk on day of play. Teams don't last when you're not winning, so I would practice alot before even trying. |
