The latter would be the obvious answer.

If you're looking into sport ATVs then the Raptor 660 would be a good choice. They perform very well in sand. I would imagine they do just as well on dirt.

I personally like Polaris products. It all depends on what you require out of it. If you want speed than the Raptor or a Predator(Polaris) will suit you fine. For more work or utility, a sportsmen series will be your best bet. But if you want rec. and utility a Polaris Scrambler will be a good choice with 4X4 and pretty good top speed. I did some research(something alot of people here should try) and found that Yamaha makes a 450 Wolverine 4X4 but its pretty new and would be out of your price range. I've heard some pretty good stuff about the Yamaha Blasters too.

You'll find a good bit of used Yamaha's. Look around and see what you like.

Ahahaha. A good majority of the forum apparently don't even know how to google something.

well i have 3 atvs...a suzuki 400 which is a beast, a polarios 300 which is basically the perfect size for anyone, and a honda 200 which is very very very small. I would suggest not getting anything over 400 because of how big they are...

Ummm.. a Raptor 660 is about the same size as a QuadRunner 400. It's all about engine size, not necessarily physical size.

As far as sport ATVs go, I've heard too many good things about Yamaha for them not to be the best.
