I got an idea for someone who only needs 2 pods in woodsball. Why not take a small pouch that holds 2 140rd pods and attach it to the left side of your stock. (If your right handed). It would allow you to ditch the harness and would not get in the way. A real world example would be the M1A1 carbine with solid stock and ammo pouch. (shown here http://img102.imageshack.us/img102/6214/m1a1vp1.jpg) basic concept pic: http://img124.imageshack.us/img124/5470/pouchdu3.jpg Thoughts or suggestion would be appreciated.

Sounds good to me. It might get in the way of your arm, or even you face. but I guess we wont know until someone tries it.

It would be redicously bulky. But what ever floats your boat. I think that mounting a bracet under your barrel for a pod to rest in would be more beneficial. Sorta like a qloader except you would just pop it out and load your hopper and then stick it back under.

Well, Empire makes a HPA tank cover that has an elasticized band that holds one pod for quick access.

It wouldn't be quite so bulky if you were to use 100 round pods instead.

Get one of those stock sleaves that holds shotgun shells and put 10 round tubes in em. Not quiet as much ammo but same basic idea

If you are playing tight against the stock aiming left and you are as you say right handed then the left of the stock with the pods on it would be pressing against your chest. I'd just find that damn annoying.
OpsGear makes those little wee 50rd pods Those are bigger than 10s, but not as annyoingly huge as 100s or 140s... They could work, but unless you've got like one of those G36 style stocks that have a gap in the middle etc where you could centre hold them, on either side might just annoy me. |

Actually now that I think about it, the pods should be on the right side of the stock if your right handed. Two 100rd pods shouldn't get in the way. I might try this once I get a stock for my A5. I'll still carry my harness, but 200 extra balls located nearby would be nice for quick reloads. I'm thinking of trying it on the OPSgear long AK stock. Edit- As suggested this wouldn't work well with folding stocks Edited by Hoboman - 02 August 2006 at 7:28am |

lol that's just weird to me. Seems like it would just be easier to do it the way it's always been done (pod harness.) Well, it hasn't "always" been done that way, but you get what I'm saying. ![]() |

My idea isnt to replace the harness. The point was to provide an alternative for conservative shooters or to supplement your harness. A few extra balls close by for quick reloads can't hurt.

Dude, you musn't hunt. He's talkin about the STOCK sleeve, not the jacket to put your birds in. So it's on your gun, not your back. |
