I was thinking of a hopper that would be placed in a back pack, there would be an air tank which you could easily refill in there that would put pressure into a tube. That tube would take the hopper fed paintballs out of the backpack and into your gun. Pros- you could carry more paint without ever having to reload on the field. -Cons would hurt a player trying to maneuver the snake or awkward positions. The ideal use would be for a back player that would stand and kneel. I have a prototype under construction but I was just wondering what you thought of the basic concept. |

Backpack + warpfeed = that idea.
Its been brought up, and done. Theres no real point unless you have a giant tank, or else you'll have to refill the tank anyway. |

Send an email... who knows, it looked like an awesome idea, but the thread died and there hasn't been a word about it. As for improvement... faster feedrate? it was a slow feed rate if I can remember correctly, slow as in between 8 - 12bps, it's not bad actually but some may want to be refilling their backpacks faster . |

How about you get two cheap agitating hoppers, like a Viewloader, and cut the top half off them. Then, get two warpfeeds and hook the hoppers up to them. Place them in a backpack, put a Y connector and you have yourself a 25 bps feeder system. You may have to work something out with the warpfeeds though, because if I remember right, they dont feed if there is any backpressure. So, instead of the balls meshing in the Y, one WF might not feed at all. You could just run 2 tubes to a TacCap and Problem solved. Although it Would be a little bulkier. You could also get a plastic box of some sort for the backpack so you don't have to work about balls breaking. Edited by sniper6 - 22 August 2006 at 12:05am |
