ok, i want to chuck my stupid steel hoses and upgrade to macro line. i'm using a high pressure gun(no **edited**). so does that mean i would get the high pressure hoses if i buy macro line? any place online or suggestions? thanks

If you are using co2, I would suggest keeping the steel braided hose. The macro line can bust if the co2 expands too much in the line.

I would stick with the steel braid regardless of whether you're using CO2 or HPA. It bends and doesnt blow up. |

Macro looks alot better and it's alot cheaper. But it's not dependable like steel hose and steel hose doesn't blow up I just upgraded to macro and I can bareley notice a difference. If you wan't to go ahead but I say save up your money and look into a nicer upgrade.

If you have HPA, get Macro. If you don't, stick with SS.

Personally, I've never been a fan of macro. Other than the reasons already stated, macro is notorious for leaking.

I think macro is more directed to higher end markers. It helps with looks and you can get macro in different colors. Macro is good when you need short lengths (but not limited to short lengths) and for making adjustments.

one of the 1st guns i know of that ran macro was the shocker sport. originally it used a larger hose than they use now. back then they ran it from the reg to the gun (200psi max in the hose). now adays they use a thinner hose with a thicker wall to handle the higher pressure (from tank to reg). i could be wrong but i think it has a smaller ID than steel lines.
also macro will become soft if left in the sun making it weeker and will break when it gets to soft... |
