I believe it is Hoppe's lubricating oil , repackaged for Tippmann to include in their marker packages .

I dont know for sure what the oil is , but you could look next time you go to a sporting goods store , or Walmart , I know they carry Hoppe's lubricating oil .

SL68-II , micro honed and polished .688" bore . Tuff Enuf .
Widowmaker , under construction

The packets that I received from Tippmann were marked as Hoppe's Gun Oil.

Air tool oil (pneumatic tool oil) works very well. Have been using it almost exclusively for over a year now (My brand is Marvel Air Tool oil available at automotive parts stores)

If Bruce says it works then it probably works. I use hoppe's, though.

Can I use PMI"s oil? It's labeled "Paintball Marker Oil" I used it for my spyders and my Piranha's... so I guess I can use it for my Tippmann correct? You can pick it up for like 2 dollars at Sports Authority

Maybe. I would trust anything THAT cheap though, especially by PMI (i just dislike PMI except RPS paint).

Id actually recommend just regular 3 in 1 synthetic oil. It works just fine at a good price. Hoppes is great though, and as Bruce said, air tool oil works well too.

Strictly speaking, a Tippmann Paintball Marker IS an air tool! Whether running off HPA or CO2. Air tool oil is designed to prevent rust in close fitting parts that are bathed many times a day with condensation moisture from the airlines that run them...about like the chilling and condensation that takes place in a paintball marker taking high pressure gas and expanding it to lower pressure causing cooling.

The air that fills your HPA tank is not dehumidified before it is pumped into your tank. When it exits your tank the pressure drop causes condensation moisture droplets to form. This moisture gets in all parts of your marker. Ever noticed the vapor at the muzzle of markers powered by HPA?

CO2 really cools everything so moisture condenses out of the air getting in every nook and cranny of the marker and shell. Air tool oil is designed to handle this...and lubricate well at the same time.

I use Kermode Concepts 100% Synthetic Trouble Free Gun oil and Shocker Lube for my Vortex Mod.

They seem to work well.

I use Hoppes #9 Lubrication Oil and I remove my Flatline then drop three-four drops of the oil into my bottom asa, then I dry fire it about 20 times, That is HOW you oil your gun. Unless you want to take the long way and take it apart to lubricate it which takes like 10-15 minutes when he bottomline asa oil job does the same.
