Umm I heard that someone was able to install both in his gun. I don't know if he did mods to it and whether it was a 98 Custom or an A-5. I think you only need one. It depends on what you like playing. Speedball then go e-grip or actually get a better gun for speedball. or if you want a waterproof gun which can be great for woodsball (and BTW the RT can be upgraded and can fire very fast if that's what you want). Or if you are like me and like playing both have stuff for both cause tippmanns can acctually perform well in both situations if don't properly. So if you like both it doesn't matter if you chose e-grip or RT with RT you can upgrade to Super RT) you can also QEV the hopper and add the vortex mod to the hopper too = for these mods the Super RT can go up to 25 bps max but runs best around 22 - 23 bps. I'd say only get one (e-grip or RT) and think about what you want the most. I choose the Super RT and QEV and Vortex mod route and acctually right now I can get it working but I have so many upgrades it could be because of another upgrade in my gun, so I think this should really be your choice not ours. Good Luck! Edit- Oh I just noticed you are new to the forums. Welcome! Edited by phil_stl - 15 August 2006 at 3:47pm |

1\4" hose and banjo fitting, supplied by tippmann. Nothing wrong with your inquiries, use the SEARCH feature, it's your friend.

You call Tippmann up and tell them you need the bigger hoses.

I doubt there's enough room for both, let alone having them both work in the presence of each other.

i have both egrip and r/t u might be able to fit them both in but you will have to do some modification to the grip and there really isnt a point to it because if you are using a r/t you cant play in tournys... and both A.P.E and W.A.S. boards can out shoot a r/t and a super r/t by themselves... i guess u could have the board on turbo or somethin like that and have the r/t on but still the board will limit the gun and so will the hopper... i board my W.A.S. board on 25bps and turned my gun into a spray paint can...
and phil vortex mod does nothin for speed it just lets your cyclone operate at lower then 300 psi which is where the stock cyclone stops working... i think the vortex turns off around 150psi or somewhere around there |

http://www.techtpaintball.com/vortexdemo.mov I haven't goldwaved it yet so I don't know if it is actually 25 bps or not but maybe someone could do that for us. And yes acctually it should make it faster, I know you might not have seen a difference in speed but the Vortex mod should make it go about and at lease 2 - 3 bps faster. Although the QEV or MEV can make the cyclone go 22 bps on its own sometimes. Which is about a 7 bps increase over the stock 15 bps feeding. Edit - You just have to make sure you take your time installing it. Take lots of time and follow the instructions completly, example: use the right grease etc. Also look on the Tippmann.com forum to see how other people installed it and did some things that made installation easier and better and maybe helped them in the long run too. They may say it gives you some boost in bps but i did everythin just as they say and if u say it gives 2-3 then i should be able to shoot 25bps easy but i cant as soon as i do that my gun turns it a spray paint gun... or maybe for u woodsball people i made a flamethrower... but im just goin off my experience of the product
