I was curious, I use teflon tape to wrap around all the seals however if some of that teflon tape came loose and shot into my gun, would that hurt it? Also, is a Macroline really better than a braided line?

The teflon tape shouldn't be wrapped around the end of the screw in area so that wouldn't happen. The ends of the connections should be clean of teflon. The rest of it can be tefloned though. With what you are using (co2 and a Tippmann), macroline is not for you. It would break and pop on you as well. Tippmanns should stay with steel braided hoses just because it is stronger and can handle more abuse. |

Ok, well if somehow the Teflon did shoot into the gun, would that hurt it or would it just fly out the barrel?

It might interfere with a seal in the valve. But the odds of it just ripping off and going in there is not very likely. |

It could get stuck and cause problems , thats why there is a right way to use teflon tape , please follow Robo's advice .

I didn't install the gauge\shocktech bottomline, The guy at pb atlanta did it for free since I bought them from him, I'm sure he did it right but on the gauge when I looked into the bottomline I saw some teflon tape and got it out with a really small hex stick so I don't think there is anymore.

Macroline is co2 friendly. Macroline is not as flimsy as people say it is, I have never had a piece of macroline break. Look inside of steel braided hose, its macroline |

Ya I have macroline on my Ion. I know it isn't really flimsy. I have looked in a steel braided hose before. Did you really think that it would just be some wiring holding in that air? The steel braided hose protects it from nicks and scratches and helps reinforce it. i just wouldn't want to use uncovered macro with co2 because they will break sometime or another. It even happens with HPA, but not as often. |

Macro and SS-braided both have a working pressure of around 3000 psi, and a burst of around 4000 psi.
Its the constant wear on the hose that causes bursts. |
