I did this to see what would happen.

This isnt the RT mod where you build something like an RT out of stuff.

I put part of a toothpick into the spring where the sear pushes the trigger forward, forcing it to stay all the way back. This makes the full pressure of the drive spring push the trigger forward after each shot.

I did it and it seemed to fire similarly to an RT. And no it wasnt like the runaway full auto mod. I could make it fire semi auto by pulling the trigger harder, then make it full auto if I pushed a little, just like the RT. I didnt have any chops for a while but then one chopped because my loader isnt fast enough then it chopped more. I got like 100 shots before it chopped though.

I havent read anything about people doin this mod before.

The toothpick is NOT in the sear. Its in the trigger slider spring. Check on a gun diagram to see what part that is if you dont know.

Okay I am very confused right now. This is on a 98 custom right? Not a custom pro that has a different sear spring. Please specify and pics would be extremly helpful right now.

it is inside the trigger slider. it jams the slider so the hammer returning pushes the trigger forwards. this has been done before and wears out the slider, hence the more-complicated-than-necessary design by tippmann factory. they could have made a one piece trigger but chose not to.
