I am probably the only one who whould want this since everyone seems to be fine with hoppers and Q-loaders.

The cartridges whould be just like a cartridge for a firearm in the sense that you have the round (in this case a paintball) inside a casing ( in this case a simple plastic tube), but in the case of my paintball cartridge the back end is open, so that the air (which is supplied by normal means, that is to say a Co2 tank) can pass throgh the casing and launch the round.
The only purpose of the casing is to make it possible to feed the rounds through a normal size, spring loaded, external magazine, just like a normal rifle. Thus eliminating the need for a top fed hopper or a big bulky Q-loader, or any other external electric device.

They make 68cal magazine loaded paintball guns.

They use a belt system to load the balls. Ive heard the are very reliable as long as you read the manual.

That marker doesn't use my Idea at all! Its mags are battery operated and are belt fed, and just use standard paintballs in the mags, all you have to do to understand my idea is read my title, Paintball Cartridges. As in: a round, held inside a casing, fed by means of a spring loaded external magazine.

Oh, you mean something like this, except in .68 caliber.

Ahh, yes. I am glad to see that the folks at a big paintball company like rap 4 have the same taste in paintball technology as I do.

Now I whould like to see that put into a marker that isn't as bulky and comlicated, not to say that I don't like scenario markers, I just want somthing smaller and that doesn't have an unnecessary amount of parts on it in order to make it look like a real rifle.

The SMG isn't like what I was thinking, the SMG used cartridge strips and were caght in a bag after they were ejected, what I was thinking is exactly what rap4 did, individual cartridges that are ejected and discarded just like a normal rifle cartridge.

Of course the SMG60 uses Strips because, its more Economical and easier to manufacture than using single Paintball Cartridges, Ive seen the Rap4 Paintball Cartridges at the Rap4.com Store here in Northern California and they can get lost each time one is ejected from the gun and the crumby part is that, in order to reuse those spent cartridges, you would need to picked them up individually.

Also, placing a Paintball Cartridge into a Magazine is Time Consuming.

Agreed, that is why I think they should be made out of cheep plastic, like what shot gun shels are made out of, that way they are inexpensive and expendable, so you don't have to worry about picking them back up.

There are a few problems with that though....

1. Money. Paintballs are already expensive enough.

2. The world of Paintball is already set tword using .68 paintballs and it would not be worth it changing to whatever calibler paintball cartriges with magazines.

I know what you are saying and I aggree with you, but I doubt it will happen.

Youre Idea sounds ok on paper but, in the Real World it would still cost the Player more money than he/she would like to spend.

The RAP4 still uses constant air. So end the end, your wasting all that time putting painballs in shells, then loading them. Plus the added cost for the shells.

You all make very good points, this is why I said I am probably the only person who whould want this, because I personally whould prefer to have a bottom fed mag. than a big bulky hopper on top of my marker, and the q-loader is still to bulky for my taste. But this is still just my personal preference.
