Need some help from the PC Gurus...

My pc cannot / wont detect my keyboard / mouse. (I'm on my lap top)

I brought it to Best Buy and they tried their keyboard, then tried hooking one in through the USB. Same thing.. not working.

Funny thing is, when the computur initially starts, I can press DEL to go to setup screen and it detects it, or I can press F8 to go to restore screen and move around with the arrows, but once I get to the log-in screen its no longer working... same with the mouse.

Ideas?

Well it sounds like a Windows problem, because your computer can detect the keyboard for DEL of F8, but windows can not.
I'll edit if I have any ideas on what to do about it...

Edit: Maybe put your windows CD in (if you have it) and then use the "repair windows" option?

Try updating the drivers? I dunno if it will work, but it's worth a shot.

Well, reformat...if you can press the delete key to get into the BIOS, then you should be able to boot from a cd, and run off of a clean install.
