Topic: C-3 Oiling\Maintence Posted: 08 September 2006 at 3:17am |
|
Just finished reading the online manual and I should be getting my C-3 by next thursday.. In the manual it dosen't tell me if I can oil through the bottomline or not..It says the "Spark Plug can short electronics of dirty or oily" so would oiling through the bottomline get oil on the spark plug? To sum this question up I'm asking if I can oil it like my A-5, by dropping a few drops of oil then dry firing it a couple times.

ummmmm not much of a buff on C-3's but i would oil moving parts directly as to not hinder the spark plug from creating a good spark

I really wish Tippmann would be more... indepth on their manual.. ok thanks, I figured I'd have to take it apart to oil but wasn't positive. Hopefully it's a rather easy snap apart.

Putting oil in a fuel system is a bad idea.
Just follow the instructions in the manual.

What do you mean "Fuel System" The entire gun is a "fuel system" lol, I'll just strip it and lube up the o-rings.

Hey , if he doesnt want to learn the difference between "Propellant" and "Fuel" (Propane , what the C3 uses) , I say let him oil through the fuel adapter .
Should be good for a laugh or two .

Technically, Propane is a form of fuel....You're attempting to be funny but not being anywhere near succesful... When you use Propane on a stove, it is classified as a "FUEL" Not a propellant. As I said and you didn't read, I will be stripping the gun to oil the O-Rings as Tippmann says to do. Man, you are a little punk.

I doubt I am "Little" by anybody's standards , being just over 6'1" and weighing in at 215 . As far as being classified as a punk by you , heh , is that the best you got ?!?
Without getting too personal , I will make a few guesses about you from what I have read of your posts and conduct in this forum .
1. you are between 12 and 14 years old
2. you are new to paintball
3. judging from the relevance and frequeny of your posts , you dont have many friends in real life and consider yourself an authority on anything you've ever even remotely heard of .
4. you are trying to pass yourself off as knowledgeable on a subject which you know very little about (Paintball , did I have to say this ?)
5. you regurgitate what you can remember from original posts (as in not yours) , sometimes inaccurately , and have the potential if taken as credible to give bad advice to legitimate newcomers with genuine questions .
6. Lastly , but not least , CO2 is a propellant , not inert , but not combustible . Propane is a fuel and its method of propelling the paintball is from the expanding gasses of COMBUSTION !! (a violent thermo-chemical reaction ) , but I am guessing you havent gotten that far in remedial science yet.....
This post was not made in an attempt to be humorous , just to point out the obvious .

6.1 at 240 here.. that dosen't matter, I'm 19, two years experiance in paintball normally with Spyders and one cocker, authority on what? Point out a post that is revelant to PAINTBALL. How am I not knowledgeable on paintball? I have helped PLENTY people and have solved MANY problems via PM. And on Number 5... Name something..? I said Propane is a FUEL so what are you talking about? And when the heck was I talking about C02 in this thread..? Either way you're post was uncalled for, I said I would be stripping my gun so that was the end of that. But do point out a few posts where I have said things revelant to paintball and been wrong.. Please. And on the other thing about friends? LoL You really do judge that's for sure, my friends right now are in College and Highschool, My college starts late (Sept 27th) Why that had any point in being brought up is beyond me unless you're just trying to piss me off somehow?

if you knew what you were talking about, you'd never think about asking whether to introduce oil into a combustion chamber...
