as the title says, I finally finished working on my 98c. I had alot of fun working on this gun. it took me a while to decide on the color to paint it, but in the end I decided a gloss green.

Stats:
98 to a-5 thread adapter
a-5 thread J&J 12" (have it this way so can use the j&J on A-5 also)
custom home made drop-forward/ gasline/ foregrip
home made double trigger
polished internals
pen spring mod
lots of "Fill & Mill"

Now heres the pics for you guys

okay here it is. feel free to coment wither it be good or bad.

Not bad at all. Great mimlling. Some paint could be a little smoother. Trigger guards are always good. Ingenuitive work with the drop/gasline.

Nice work. I think a rear cocking kit would look good on it.

I was thinking about getting one. but in not sure which style to pick, there are alot of different rear cocking and im dont know what would look best on my gun. I will probably order one when I decide to replace the rearbolt and sear on my 98. the thing is the sear/rearbolt are really worn down because its an old gun that was used heavly as a rental at a summercamp. LOL in fact the internals only work because I had to try and mess with them myself, they didnt work at all before, thankfully by messing with them they work, but it still fails to catch every once in a while, and they are really slugish and dont work so well

so that brings me to a question, do the "newstyle" rearbolts work in the old guns? because mine is something like 213319 or 316626 or something like that and uses the old internals(stupid me filled in the serial number along with alot of other stuff on the right side). is it fine to use the new rear bolts with the old sears? I can find the old sears online but I cant find any old rearbolts that are being sold. thanks for any info you have on that. also, I think I heard somewhere that the rear end caps are slightly different later on, so would I need a specific "old style" rear cocking setup?

or a way to avoid all of that would be to buy an E-bolt, but in not sure if I want to dish out that kind of money for one. and if I did, what kind to buy and from where. and can E-bolts run of co2? I dont got a HPA tank yet, so running an E-bolt would cost me quite a bit of money for both the e-bolt and a good HPA tank. (the E-bolts do work on the old style 98s right?)

Looks good, one suggestion though; you should add a trigger gaurd to it.

yeah, I probably should get a trigger guard some time, but the thing is I made the trigger myself. so I dont have a guard for it. so I would either have to make one myself,(that would probably break) or go out and buy one.
