I just finished installing the QEV, 1\8 hoses (SUPER R\T) and X-Core... I can't get the R\T To sweetspot or anything.. the rod shoots out, but dosen't bounce my finger at all anymore..help!!! I even tried turning the flow control all the way down (so that I couldn't pull it) and I still could..

Maybe the air is going back the other way into the cyclone that has vented its gas out the QEV. If all pressure is equal (which I think it should be) then if the cyclone vents, then wouldnt that lower the pressure in the R/t too?
I don't have a big knowledge of the superRT mod, nor much else for that matter ![]() I wouldn't mind knowing the answer to this as well. Been thinking of doing this mod myself, just havent researched it in depth much yet. |

Hm.. you know that actually makes sense.. normally without a QEV the air that cycles the Cyclone is pushed back through the line..... but then again, the R\T and Cyclone are each getting the same amount of air at the same time *When you fire air goes through BOTH lines*...but still, that does make sense...If that is true... then I am very, very pissed. Super R\T mod is simple.. the stock hoses are 1\16th, you replace them and the fittings to fit 1\8th hoses on (bigger hoses) for more flow.

when you crank the flow control valve all the way down/clockwise can you push the cylinder back in if you extend it manually? if so, you have a leak between the f/c valve and the cylinder.

Yeah.. but I'm wondering if it's just not getting enough air... because I just noticed my cyclone isn't cycling properly either.. *Yes there is NO pull on the R\T*

If you can, try a stronger mainspring/RVA cranked to max velocity, then
restrict the air flow with the stock velocity adjuster. Theoretically,
this would cause a larger release of air which would exit down the
barrel at a slower rate creating a back pressure which would feed more
air to the cyclone and r/t.
If this fixes the problem, then you know it was an airflow issue. (This will decrease air efficiency however.) |

My drive spring is so hard that I only get 600 shots buddy.. I can't get any less air efficiency :-P So wait, the main velocity scew can make the R\T not work if not "set" right?

^^^ Not exactly. Consider this.
I could be way off base here, but there are two fairly easy ways to test if this is your problem.

Dude all these upgrades you have bought are starting to conflict with each other. Don't go like all 7th grade on me, but how much does your A5 weigh, like 50lbs? I have been reading your post's for like 2 month's. It seems like you have a good knowledge of paintball. Upgardes that is. But you have said that you don't play that much and you take your gun to a pro shop to fix or upgrade? Get to know you marker in stock form (inside and out) before you think you are gonna make it better with every upgrade they make! Who are you trying to impress! Us or you. Like I said before, you can only go so far before you start messing up what the engineers( who's job it is to make the most out of a product) messed up! Think back to when your gun worked best dude. What did you have on it? I'm gonna guess not half the suff you do now.
