So as the title says, I am currently in the process of making an ebolt for under $90.

This is going to be built from scratch, that means no premade cylinder and most if not all parts will be bought from a hardware store and radio shack.

The parts I cant get will include a QEV, a paintball reg with guage, and a solenoid.

This is just a teaser at the moment. I currently have the board halfway done. Just to give you a hint as to how cheap this thing is going to be... Im using a free disposable camera board.

After I get it all done I will post a tutorial. Its gonna be fun. (so far Ive got 330volts past my heart hehehehe)

There was a disposable camera at my school once that was broken open. You could stick your finger into it and get shocked. It was fun to get shocked and to shock others.

Well the more I look into prices I might be able to make it for alot cheaper than I thought I could. But Ill stick with my goal and maybe be pleasently surprised

Ive set up some goals here.

1) Must be semi-auto (atleast)
2) Must use mostly hardware or easily found parts
3) Price must be within reason (or else I wont be able to make it lol)
Secondary goals
1) Eyes (yes I know I can do it, but maybe not in the first version)
2) Look good (cant look all ghettofied)

Yeah, Ill do it for free..... HA!

Its really simple, all the eyes are is a seperate IR switch. IR detector detects the Infared(aka no ball in chamber) then goes to a flip flop IC to a transistor that lets electricity to the trigger switch. No IR(ball in chamber) no electricity to the switch.

Back last year when you could buy those M98 E-Bolts off Ebay for $50, one of the regulars here posted pictures of the Dremel mods inside the grip to make it fit the 98C.  Easy to do.

May show up under and "E-Bolt" search.

...i actually understood most of that.  so basically, if there isn't a ball in the chamber, the switch won't activate?  interesting.

That idea for the eyes can work for any board too, you just have to cut one of your switch wires and solder it in between the cuts. Of course power supply will have to be determined. But that again is an easy solder job.

Heh, so I went a bought the stuff for the cylinder, Its really ghetto, but noone will notice after its painted and in the gun.

Got a 2" threaded piece of 3/8' brass tubing, some end caps, and made a plunger(not real sure of the real name of it) out of random hardware and a rubber washer for air tightness.

As far as a solenoid is concerned, I think I am going to get this http://www.controlandpower.com/catalog/PDFs/Humphrey/Humphre y%20Valves%20-%20Solenoid%20H010-H040.pdf

H(V)010E1 5VDC

5 volts would work great with my switch and eyes.

Good news!!!! I got the circuit done, (no eyes at the moment, had a hard enough time with the circuit.), No luck with the solenoid. The supplier never emailed me back.

So if anyone knows where I can get a pneumatic solenoid valve for paintball guns, I would be most appreciative.

But I got the cylinder mostly put together, drill press went to storage so I have to wait for that to come back.

Over all, Id say its doable so far. Parts have put me at about $15, thats with most of the cylinder and circuit.

Update:

Im still working on the cylinder. I decided to use the stock bolt and replace the spring with a pneumatic ram. It will use the regular blow back gas to push the cylinder back to firing position.

Im about to solder the board together minus the eyes, I dont feel like dealing with it right now. I am going to get this solenoid.

I just need to find a really cheap LPR, so Ill have to go on ebay.

Everything is going pretty smoothly, so far with board and cylinder Im at about $17. Which is not bad.

Im actually keeping a parts list and price guide. If all works then I will post everything, and hopefully with some pictures as well. So far its just getting the cash for a noid and reg. Then its smooth sailing after that.
