Im looking for a speedball gun to get into addition to my a5.  I am able to spend up to 300 dollars on the gun but no more.  What do you think would be best?

Ion or promaster.

Promaster still needs some add ons to get it fully working. Ion works straight out of the box, but some upgrades are strongly adviced to get as soon as possible. You should be able to find a well upped Ion on ebay for less than $300

So promasters are seriously that good of a gun for mid-low range? I havent really seriously looked into them before. What sorta upps you gotta get for it to get into full ready mode.

Feedneck, reg, and most importantly an ASA.

I would dig through PBN and find a DM4... actually, they are going closer to $400.   Look for a Matrix (sometimes incorrectly called a DM3).   Better gun than the Ion or ProMaster will ever be.

^^I love used guns

anyway, get the promaster if your going for new.  Overall its the better gun, all you need is an ASA and thats it.  besides, with the ion wouldnt you get rid of the duckbill anyway?

the promaster has a better-board, trigger, bolt, barrel(good for a stock barrel), good internals.

the only con is really the reg, but thats a hit or miss, some people like theirs, others replace it before they try it
