ok, I just bought my A5 along with the smartparts linear barrel. Today I had my first day of pb and man... I had about 20 breaks over 500 shots...

The paint I use: diablo crush. They are just perfect size: they get stuck in the barrel and I can blow them out easily.

The barrel: smart parts linear

Velocity: around 280 fps.

Breaks: in thebarrel, had no chops

Weather: around 60 degrees fahrenheit, sunny

could you guys help me out plz? Is it the barrel, is it the front bolt?

EDIT: I did use the search button, but could find any good help.

If there were no chops, but all the breaks happened in the barrel it is the barrel. It could be many things, like a ball getting stuck in the barrel (Because you switched the barrel or something) and then firing.

What length is the barrel?

Is it Rifled? If it is, that could be it....

Try your stock barrel. Does it still happen?

First, it is spelled "a lot" not "allot".

The problem is with the paint or barrel. The only way to check this is by trying the stock barrel with the same paint. If you still have ball breaks, then the paint in the culprit. If there are no breaks, ditch the new barrel.

We like reading things that are grammatically correct. We also love capitalization and punctuation.

So to answer your question, Hammer, it is both.

but plz be a little kind for the non english speaking ppl. Or I'll get mad for every dutch word you guys screw up ....

back on topic:

I found the problem. At first the velocity made the paint break... I adjusted the marker from 300+ fps to 280 fps. Again many breaks... After cleaning the barrel: no aprovement. So I threw my A5 appart and tzadaaaammm --> A LOT of paint. The bolts were covered with it. So after cleaning it, I tested it again. Result: no breaks at all.

Thnx for the hints guys. This problem is solved.
