I took apart my A-5 because I was going to polish the internals...now that I have it apart i have run into a problem. I have the front bolt and the power tube, and I know how it goes back together...BUT i have a washer and an O-ring that I dont know where they go. I am reading the booklet that came with the gun and I can't find their homes.
EDIT: I found where the washer goes...but im still stuck on the O ring. Edited by chrisjm00 - 15 October 2006 at 6:47pm |

do you have a diagram of the marker ? if not you can go to this link http://www.tippmann.com/cust_service/manuals.aspx and look up your marker and see the "schematic".

is there a spring rattling around in your valve? the washer goes into the tombstone hole and holds the spring in, the oring presses into the groove and holds the washer in.

Thanks for the help. I got everything straightened out and reinstalled. After you learn where everything goes the gun really isn't anything to disassemble and assemble back together. Thanks for the help guys. One other questions though...isn't really related to my original post. How much will a new steel line cost? I ordered a shocktech drop forward and the GTA expansion chamber for my gun...and am worried that the lines I have won't fit the gun afterwards.

You should definitly go with a macroline kit at this point to replace a steel braided line. A kit with three 1 foot sections of different color hose and two fittings of your choice goes for about $12. It looks cooler, is way easier to manage, and is easier to work with when taking apart your gun (although with A5s this isnt much of a problem). http://www.paintball-discounters.com/get_item_020177par_macr oline-kit.htm One fitting would go into your ASA, and the other would go into the fitting on the exp. chamber; its just a matter if you want the fitting to be straight or 90* (elbow).

That is pretty cool. I might have to pick one of those up tomorrow. The black would match my gun and everything would be black. Kinda cool. Thanks for the info. Do I just cut the lines down? I don't think they would be as hard as the steel line.
