Hey I was just wondering for my new paintball marker, what should i take for a barrel? My playstyle is the one shot on kill type! I like big range and lot of accuracy! What Should i get between the flatline barrel? or the sniper barrels, and if it is the sniper, wich lenght???

Longer Barrels do not add accuracy or range.
Flatline will give you lots of distance, but less accuracy. Stay away form the sniper barrels, they're crap. If you want a straight barrel go with a bigshot. It will give you good accuracy, but no range gain. So.......do you want accuracy or range? You cannot have them both. |

Oh God. Another sniper. Look, I'll say now, you can't do it. It just doesn't work in paintball. But of those choices get the Flatline. |

I have both the Flatine barrel and a 12" Lapco Bigshot
It's amazing how far the flatline will shoot the ball, but often it curves. I you don't mind having to shoot 3-8 balls to hit your target, the Flatline isn't a bad choice. The Lapco Bigshot shoots as far as any ordinary barrel would, but the accuracy is amazing. You can hit anything within range with just 1-2 shots. One time when I was just test firing my gun, it took me 2 shots to get a ball through a 2" gap between the limbs of a tree, and I was even using bad paint. Whenever I play, I use my Bigshot over my Flatline. |

If you can sit there and sight in on someone and shoot one ball and hit them, you are playing a bunch of newbs. Edited by hybrid-sniper - 16 October 2006 at 9:17pm |

Not true. I have had plenty of seasoned players walk right in front of or past me in the woods where all I needed was one trigger pull. If you use cover, concealment and the patience not to move, you can have your 'one shot, one kill' happen. And I am by no means an elite player. I've played with and against people that are military, law enforcement and hunters. The hunters are harder to kill because they're used to sitting for hours waiting for something to come by. I try to emulate them depending on the game scenario. |
