98C RVA question

   Ive had  a my 98c for a few years now and bought a few mods back when I played alot such as the expansion chamber kit, star bolt, and the RVA which if I remember correctly, its a 32 degrees but an older model.  The thing is it has this center rod like this one,   http://cgi.ebay.com/32-Degrees-Tippmann-Model-98-BTB-Rear-Ve locity-Adjuster_W0QQitemZ160025820244QQihZ006QQcategoryZ3628 5QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem 
This center rod thing doesnt fit with the spring thats stock.  Anyone else had this issue, or know if im doing something wrong.

	Can you take it out and replace it with the stock guide pin?

	its glued in or something. I didnt want to mess it up but if I dont get any other replies, i will get some plyers and try. I emailed 32 degrees earlier today so will see what they say.
