This is the first new product resulting from the Tippmann/SpecOps joint venture. As you can see from the pictures, it includes/integrates many of the scenario/woodsball features that previously had to be acquired separately from aftermarket sources. If you want a scenario A-5-style gun, the X7 will give you an excellent platform for that. Integrated rails, a magazine that isn't just cosmetic, hopper that is made for woodsball... Should be good. |

It does look pretty slick. The tool pack magazine is a nice touch.

I tend to agree. We'll see when they hit the shelves, but this strikes me as an impressive start to the Tippmann/SpecOps venture. |

basically... they saved players the trouble of buying an A-5, and some of the spec-ops upgrades, and the price is still right around what an A-5 costs. With tippmann's reputation, any new or even upcoming woodsball and scenario player will definitely be looking at this product.
And now with the merge of spec-ops and tippy, there should be a whole mess of upgrades coming from spec-ops. they're both gonna be raking in the cash. btw... magnesium body??? whatever happened to plain ol aluminum? |

they wanted a lighter body my guess...shouldnt be a problem...performance wise i predict the same as an a-5 but looks to have a nicer more all around body style...more assultish then SMGish...looks pretty nice i cant wait to see one

Agreed, this is possibly one of the most impressives undertakings I've ever seen this company make. I look forward to seeing what kind of first (and third) party add-ons will come out for it. Edited by XenoSabre - 03 November 2006 at 11:31am |

Any idea if any of the A-5 upgrade parts will work on this marker or did they tweak the settings just enough to where all new parts are needed?
Looking at the manual, it looks as if it might be possible in some cases. |

I can't see it, but from what I hear, its just an A-5 with crap on top and a better cyclone. True or not?
