Ok the front reciver screw/bolt whatever is stripped..like its not coming out with any sort of allen key.. any segestions? pref, quick easy solutions...any help is appreciated.

Always check the sig. If you're ready to sacrifice an allen, Get the wrench meant to fit the screw and some epoxy. Mix the epoxy, and fill the screw head with it. Stick the key in there and figure out a way to hold it upright while it dries. Once it dries, unscrew. |

If possible, use a dremel and cut a slot in it. then use a flat blade screw driver to remove. Good luck!

Not if he could find a small cutting wheel. Or use one that is worn down. It doesn't need to be cut that deep. Just enough to get the tip of screw driver in it.

just get super strong glue, JB weld or bondoe put it in the screw stick the allen wrench in wait for it to dry unscrew and it should screw out but you would have to buy a new screw but that is minor

Ok update.
I have went out and picked up some epoxy. Now I mixed the resin and the hardener and the allen key is supported into the mixture and screw head. Only 8 hours till I can attempt to turn it. Wish me luck. Has anyone ever tried this and it work? |

Yeah, It works. I used that method to get a broken chunk of tremelo bar out of my strat after i did a 9 step drop. The bar totally molested itself and broke off inside the screw hole, so i drilled it out, put in a nail, jb welded it, let it dry, then wrenched it out with a pair of kleins. It works amazing, you just have to set it up right. Another thing you can do is VERY CAREFULLY drill the shank of the bolt out. but I highly reccomend you don't do this. I've only seen 1 person ever do it successfully, and you WILL screw up your marker's reciever if you're not immaculate in your drilling practices. |

FYI- there are drill bits called "screw out" flutted edged bits of various sizes, I have the craftmann set cost $22.50 for the 12 bits.
Works on flattip, crosstip, allen, as well as star heads. Place bit in drill, insert bit into any edge remaining of screww head, reverse our slow....... |

dont use these i have a set and i tried using them on a bike and it completely stripped the bolt even thow it was already stripped it made it worse so i dont recomend these |

I have tried the JB Weld method and it did not work for me.
THe other method that always works is to drill out the hole slightly larger and 1/4" into the screw head. Then hammer in the tightest fitting square head bit you can. Then just attach a multi-bit screwdriver to the end of the bit and turn it out. Square head bits are ideal for this because they have sharp edges and are tapered, so the farther you push it in, the tighter it gets. |
