im thinking of getting an e-grip for my A-5 but im kind of afraid that it will chop balls being automatic with no type of ACS.

So will it chop or not?

thanks.

No.  The Cyclone will keep up with the E-Grip under normal circumstances.  The stock Cyclone is good up to 16-17 bps.  If you plan on going beyond that (with APE board or fancy trigger jobs), you can Vortex the Cyclone up to 20ish bps.

You'll be fine.

Exactly right, I have a A5 with an e-grip on it and really never had the gun chop any balls so far. and thats been about 1 + 1/2 a year(s)

*EDIT*
Unless you have a really crappy barrel...

I like the Lapco bigshot (12" or 14")  barrel alot better than smart parts ones, they are alot more accuarte  from my personal use....

Its all about what BPS you set the board too. Stock they are 15 bps works great with the cyclone and that's plenty fast for most players. Alot of feilds have a 15 bps limit anyway.

If you go and start changing the programming to higher ROF you will need to adjust accordingly.

When I used my egrip on my a5 I got alot of breaks in the cyclone because I put a QEV and the Vortex on it and I was using tourny paint. The cyclone would spin so fast it was like a blender
