no not unless you buy the 98 C that comes with ACT. Did it say "ACT Technology" on the plastic that it most likely came inside (especially if you got it from a big box store like wal-mart). if it did, then its the ACT version if not, then no it's not. |

You can't buy A.C.T as an option.

you dont need ACT. Ive use to have a 98 custom for a couple years without ACT never once had any problems with ball break or anything. Unless you get a r/t or e-grip tho then you might want to hold off for ACT (that is if you get a good hopper too)

A 98 like that would be uber fast if you added a LPK and up the macrolines to 1/8''.

How will having an ACT 98 and LPK make the 98 uber fast. Yes the rt with bigger hoses (also known as Super RT) will help. But you should also get a QEV and the Vortex mod if you want it to be uber fast and to acctually keep up and not have the ACT jumping in all the time because a ball couldn't feed fast enough. So could you explain how: ACT or LPK will be of any help to making a gun "uber fast". |

Thanks estcstpnt. I have the R/T already (love it
) I was going to order a new A5 but after reading up a bit I decided to order the Super R/T, Cyclone, Ricochet R5, Lapco bigshot 12", and GTA drop foward to go with my Tapco stock and Core dead box for my 98 instead. As far as The A.C.T jumping in to prevent a break... that is it's JOB! I know what the Vortex will do but, will the Q.E.V really make a difference? I run CO2. It's the only practical option in my area. What the heck does UBER mean anyway? Edited by TIPPY98ACT - 18 November 2006 at 2:55am |

The qev will help add bps. I think it's good to get one, especially with the super rt. I'd say get the QEV before the Super rt. |
