I got bored...forgive me.

I didn't calculate the speed....its fast enough...

And no.  It does NOT burn out motors...

Maybe too fast, the cap flu off.

Or maybe he should just get the speed feed (the plastic thing instead of a cap that has plastic stringy pieces that allow paintballs in but not out).

it just makes more since to make it spin only when you need it to,because if it just kept spining it would chop paint

i put about 10 volts into my halo, it would have worked like a boost pack if the wires wernt crossed.  It burnt up a board and set of eyes.

what upgrades do you have in your halo?

It's 9v directly to the motor. No ups needed.

Edit- Just for comparison, here's my super reet Halo. http://www.darksidevideo.org/search/boost/0/wm/57478fe9-4e3e -4a2c-a4b8-c931135c42e1.htm

i just put 18 into that motor, it glowed yellow out the back while spinning for a second or two....but it works perfectly....  those little motors can take alot of juice.  id say 20 would fry one.

I'm concerned about how long you could run it at 9v. How long have you so far? Based on my experience adding speed to the cone is only good up to a point, but that being said we need a vid of it not only on your Ego98, but also a drop at 18v. (Cheetahs fry at 16, so I'm interested to see how the motor itself fares.)

http://stores.buyitsellit.com/StoreFront/view?store=5027& ;view=product&id=31350

that will give you 10.6 volts for it and its rechargable

http://www.hobby-lobby.com/thunderpower.htm

that is where i get battery's for my R/C airplanes. Theres 1 on there that should be what your looking for.  They are also what blew out my halo though when the wires were crossed just as a warning.
