impulse question

can you use co2 with a impulse one of my buddy's is selling his to me it's brand new still in box never been used

yes, it is capable of running an Imp on Co2 IF you have an anti syphon, but be prepared for tons of problems,

get a stealy HP, there cheap, and cheaper to fill.

I don't recommend it at all.

Even anti-syphon tanks will give you fits with any electro-pneumatic marker. The rule of thumb is, if it uses electronics, don't put CO2 on it. For $100 for an impulse, you should be able to fork out the cash for a cheap HPA tank

On that note, you should have seen the manager at the Woodbridge Pev's cringe when some guy brought in an old Shocker with an anti-syphon on it.... you'd have thought the guy brought in a roadkill skunk with the reaction he gave.

i was shoting a tippman before so i do not think i will go that fast

p.s. how many bps can a impulse do

vision board and blackheart are capped at 20, a non-vision board or when you have vision turned off is 13.4 or something like that.  WAS board is uncapped.  imp internals are capable of cycling at around 30, but dont expect to get it to shoot that fast with paint. 20-22 would be a reasonable expectation if you have it fully upgraded

People sometimes use an anit siphon co2 tank, but its still bad.  Are there any upgrades on it?  You will probably want a new trigger/feedneck very very soon

and arent old maxflos supposely good(or as good as it can be) with co2?

Yeah, I mean, there ARE setups that you can use with Co2 for markers,
after all the shockers and rainmakers were made before the days of hpa.
The trouble with all of them are that they are so bulky that they quickly
make what are essentially light-weight, high-speed tournament markers
into a bulky tangle of anti-syphon, regulated and expansion chambered
parts to "make sure" no liquid gets in there and blows a solenoid or lp-
system. My experience has been that the impulse was far more touchy
with co2 than the shocker was.
