Hello i have an a-5 and my gun keeps chopping paint and i have no clue why its not my barrel because if i shoot without it it still breaks, someone told me it might be my detent being loose but i checked and it seems to be in place what could it be please help?
What do you mean booze aint food?

my freind also had that problem, shot without the barrel and it just explodes right in front of you

but if thats not your case then idk

yeah, an A-5 shouldn't really be "chopping" paint as the cyclone feed forces the round into the chamber. The only thing I can think of is if the feed-star and the firing cycle aren't synced properly, that could cause an issue, but if you don't find evidence of shell in the cyclone feeder, then it's most likely just bad paint/old paint being crushed by the force of the air propelling the ball.

Problem with your cyclone parts (ratchet) if they are original maybe their broken, if they have been replaced that could be hte problem, my father got a bad batch once. Maybe try the new metal ratchet

Hight velocitiy perhaps? how much were you at?
