I shot a Pilot once and it wasnt bad at all. Overall, I thought it was a decent gun with a lot of potential. I'd say it's a good choice if it's what you really want.

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

Yeah, I was mainly lookin at it just cause of the low price. Its either this or buy a friends used 98 w/ flatline for prolly around 100. The 98 is such a good deal, but I already have a woodsball gun and I dont want to spend a bunch of money on parts for another gun

New Spyders > Old Spyders. The new ones are so underrated because of the older ones' questionable quality. I have a 2k3 Imagine I decked out, and I love it. Right now it's in about 6 pieces scattered accross my room though... (I tinker |

I took my friends 2k3 Imagine completely apart, lost a bunch of pieces, and so it's kinda in purgatory right now. |

The only Kingman markers I ever liked from the older series were the SE and the original incarnation of the Xtra.
I don't know much about the newer markers, but one of the guys I play with regularly started with an electro-spyder and whipped some ass with it. He traded it in after only one week though, he wound up making partner at his corporation and bought himself a DM6 with all the perks. _______EDIT_________ I looked up the reviews on PB review. I haven't found too many weak points for the marker through most of the reviews, but they tend to be from younger or less-experienced players on a whole. Also, for what you'll pay for one new, you can find a good used marker on e-bay that will give you better performance. For example, I just got a Dye Matrix LCD for the same price used with a lot of extras. (it is really nice btw) Ultimately, if you have a local pro-shop around, see if they'll let you test-fire it. I know my old pro-shop in NY would let you go out back and pop off about 20 rounds to make sure you liked the marker before you bought it. Edited by tallen702 - 10 December 2006 at 12:00pm |

Meh. That's understandable. From what I've been hearing, I've had more luck with them than most...

I'd say so. The issue I've always had with sear-tripping electo-markers is that there has been very little done to integrate the standard mechanical pneumatic system with the electro-system of the grip. The lack of stock delrin bolts, lighter drive springs and faster cycling shows, to me, that it's just an afterthought to the operation of the marker. |

Well, for comparison's sake, the E-Mag/X-Mag is a sear-tripper... An electromech can be one of the nicest guns out there, due to their simplicity, if you build 'em right. |

Learn2Mag IMO.. Set up your level 10 right or don't talk smack. New Spyders are nice, my buddies have had problems in the past with TL's, Compacts and Shutters.. but the ones with Imagines have loved em Edited by FlashGordon - 13 December 2006 at 2:00pm |
