ok this isn't that bad but someone was messing with my 98c and they snapped the dovetail site off of the back of my gun. nothing is broken, but i do not know how to get the dovetail back on the rear site of the gun.

Just open your gun and place it back in. Heck you might just need to loosen the screws to let you squeeze it back into the holes.

lol i was worried in the same way when i first opened my gun and the answer is no the only spring that you have to worry about is the one that springs up the button that holds your hopper in place. the only reason is, is this spring is kind of hard to keep in the right position and close up the gun at the same time |

you only need to open top 4 bolt and it will give enough that you can put it back in without taking your gun apart ive done i with mine when i was trying to clean it.

The best way to keep that front spring from popping out is to keep your feed elbow on. Other wise everything stays in place.

^ I disagree with RoboCop not only for the reason that if you lift up
your gun the feed elbow will pull down on the front sight and normally
it isn't a problem but the pressure pulling down and slight movement
this can sometimes cause the spring to move/pop out anyway.
The other reason I disagree is cause the "best way" is to use glue to keep the spring there. |

Wow. That is pretty sad if you manage to pop it out that way. I always keep my feed elbow on and even when handling it rough, the spring is still there.

It is sad, sometimes I want to cry... The spring normally is "still there" too (underneath the front sight), but the bottom part of it would come out from the ridge and therefore the tension needed to keep the feed elbow in place is gone so then I'd have to place it back in sometimes. I did say sometimes it happens... not all the time... I just wanted to open to door for doubt and give what, in my opinion was a better suggestion... I said I disagreed and you can disagree with me (but the whole "that is pretty sad if you manage to pop it out that way" statment seems like you want an argument), I don't feel like arguing here with you, all I want to do is help this guy. If people on here are going to get put down for giving suggestions to people that need help... no-one here could ever get help. Plus by the way the main "disagrement" I had was the fact that you said the "best way" was keeping the feed elbow on, in my experiences it wasn't and I "disagreed" and gave another option which was having it glued in there, which I thought was the "best way"... seriously it's up to him to take our opinions and make a conclusion for himself.
