Well, I just got a new Tippmann 98 Custom with ACT. I havent tried it our or anything yet. I need paint and a tank, but what i want to ask is what is a good barrel for woodland? Also, i need a good, but cheap stock, one more thing. Are Pod's better than hoppers?

You need to do some research, and learn the sport before upgrading anything.
Buy yourself a 20oz CO2 and a 200 rd hopper, and play at least 4 or 5 five times before deciding what you want to do with your marker. |

a lot of research, the best way is with the good ol' search button but a 20oz and a 200rd hopper would be a good starting load |

Alright, here's what happens...
First, pods and hoppers are completely different things. A pod is something you carry on your back in a "pod pack" to hold extra ammo for when the paint in your hopper runs out. As for a tank, just get a 20oz CO2 tank like everyone else already said. You don't need a remote line or anything fancy like that. Just a tank. Right now, you don't need to get a new barrel. Play a few games with your gun just stock and get a feel for it. When it does come time for getting a new barrel, I'd reccomend getting a Lapco Bigshot or a J&J Ceramic. Both run from $40-$60 and work very well. Another little bit of advice... Don't get anything longer than 14". A barrel longer than that will just make your shots less accurate and get in the way. You don't need a stock. Just leave it at that. Once you put your tank on there, it will act as a stock if you want it to. Experiment with different grips and see what's best for you, but having a tank and a stock is just too clunky and heavy. |
