If you'll be playing at an organized field or in tournaments, go with the Egrip or Ebolt. If you're playing woodsball, scenario, and some rec games, I'd go with the RT. The Egrip will give you more firing modes, though you'll more than likely end up in semi half thetime.

I've used both and really the only positives about the RT were no batteries and the ruggedness of the system.

Either one will get the job done when you need a higher ROF.

Like casper8x said, both provide a high R.O.F when you need it. In my opinion the R/T is a bit more forgiving. Just remember, a high R.O.F with a poor paint to barrel match and CO2 will always result in a bad day.

last time i checked, many tournament rules do not allow r/ts so, if that is your intention, that narrows it down very quickly

E-grip because it will always give you the speed you need all the way down to the last few shots you have in your tank.

I say the E-Grip, it might cost a little more, but it is allowed at fields and in tournaments more often. Also it has a mode that is the same as the response trigger.

This is not true.

But as others have noted, it is mostly a matter of preference and local rules.  Some fields don't allow the RT; others allow the RT but not electro full auto.  The RT takes a little more tweaking and patience, but doesn't need batteries (which is always nice).

I might also note, on a personal level, that shooting a Tippmann RT on runaway is about as much fun as shooting a paintball gun gets.  Much more fun than electro full auto, for instance. 

I have used both, and I use them for different situations.

if you aren't gonna play in any tournaments, i'd recommend the R/T. the ROF is adjustable too, which is nice...

i dont know about where you play but at two of the fields i go to they dont
allow the response trigger. so they will make you trade it in for a rental or if
they have no more rentals you can just sit there and wate or leave.

Gotta say E-grip.  A multitude of settings depending on the board.  Batteries aren't an issue since they're cheap and I've only had to change one battery in the two years I've owned my E-grip.  I've never had a battery die on me on the field.  I can't count the times I've gone out because I've run out of gas.  So, if I do die because of a battery dying, it isn't any worse than having an empty cylinder.

Turbo- fires semi auto, after reaching a set rate of fire (i think it was 8 or 10 bps) the E-trigger fires in on the pull and release. That is the same as the Response Trigger, the only difference is the BPS is caped.
