Flex 7 bad experience

Well, the thing is that I was very excited one sunday morning out on a speedball field, waiting for the 3..2..1..FIRE!. I had just bought a new JT Flex 7, thinking that every single paintball would bounce when it hit my new soft googles, when... The game starts and I run towards the snake, my gun falls down, I stop to grab it and a string of paintballs comes directly to my face (I just make a declaration: I'm not that bad at painball, but I forgot my marker at home and had to use a stock 98custom at a speedball game against angels, shockers, PM6, etc).

As you can imagine the soft mask didn't worked at all giving me a painfull lesson (just imagine a cheek with 5 nice, red, round circles).

IF YOU USE THIS KIND OF MASK BE CAREFULL

Was it so soft they hit your face threw the mask???

the mask was quite far from my face so the lower part of it (the one with many litle holes) kinda folds and lets the paintballs pass directly to my face.

Not quite what I was thinking, I must admit. The inner thigh is one of the worst I've ever taken.

i freaking hate getting hit in the adams apple. the few times i have been hit in the neck have all been crappy.

I've had one or two push the flex mask in to my cheek before, but it is
very rare. Now, the Flex7 ICE masks were far more flexible and allowed
the balls to travel closer before breaking. I love my flex-7 though,
Number one, it's WAAAAY old-school 'Red' and 2, I've had a ton of
bounces that I don't get away with on my profiler.
