Custom Pro = Sear tripper electro = electro-mech hybrid (like a Spyder)
Ion = true electropneumatic (like a Shocker, Intimidator etc.) The Custom Pro also lacks eyes, which come standard on an Ion. Also, an Ion is MUCH more air efficient once you have it set up properly. |

I'm going with the Ion for the reasons hway mentioned. In a 1v1, it would all depend on the player though. |

Remember, some of us have school. Or are on the west coast. Or both. A response will come, just be patient. If you're looking into making your CP a halfway acceptable speedball gun, I'd stop now and get something else. Edited by hybrid-sniper - 18 January 2007 at 12:36am |

Hey man, I have no proof that anything has happened recently. And that thing shall be one of very few exceptions to the rule.

Well, I just spent $150 on my new cocker, I'm penniless. Plus, I'm on the prowl for parts. |

well what other gun's do u suggest because im not looking to spend 500-600 i was more in the 150-to maybe 350 (including parts) but so far im sticking to this because it pretty affordable and theres plenty of upgrades for later on. but if really stick to playing then ill start looking into like dm6-dm7 or shocker or sumthing. but please list any other guns u guys think i could make a good speedball gun with $350 just list any guns/parts i should get for a good speedball gun.

Dude, if you're that serious about finding a good speedball marker in that
price range, you need to go used. I picked up a DMLCD (Dye Matrix LCD) with a Freeflow Anderson Board, CP Reg, CP Snatch Grip, Evil 2pc barrel, phat drop, and Re-Loader B hopper for $187 shipped on e-bay. You really don't need anything as high end as a DM6 to get started in speedball. |

A Tippmann can destroy an Ion, and many other speedball guns any day. With enough work that is. If you were to get an eBolt, Centerfeed, a regulator, Eyes, Matrix Board, and mill the crap out of it the thing would be awesome. Look around for someone by the name of natural newbie. He is regarded as a god by some. |

That's practically robbery. Nice find. That said, I too would suggest looking at used guns--always cheaper, and generally in just as good condition as new guns. |

Yeah, I almost felt bad about getting it at that price, but the guilt went away when I started firing it and realized I was shooting as fast as my team mate who uses a DM6 |
