well this is trying to be answered in my thread too. The 98 ACT is probably better because it wont chop. The only other reason you'd want the Custom Pro is if you want to set a world record for the fastest RT and Cylcone setup. |

They're pretty well equal. The ACT is a nice feature though. |

What one looks better to you? Do you like the feel of a double trigger? Do you want a drop forward? If not, I say get the 98 Custom. You can use the money you saved on the custom to buy upgrades for it. You will want a better barrel than what the Pro comes with anyway. As sinister said other than the drop, trigger, and barrel they are the same. By the way Phil... What the heck are you talking about???

Get a 98c. The Pro is a 98c with useless crap.

Well I already told you in my other thread about the RT + Cyclone on 98 Custom might be a slight bit faster than on the ACT because the rod that is linked to the rear hammer and the front bolt doesn't hit the metal internals and then move downward to engage the rear hammer in the regular 98 Custom, but in the ACT it does, there is a slight bit more friction in the ACT (or actually considering the rod is hitting something you could even call it a slight interference). Therefore if you want to set a record for the fastest Tippman RT + Cyclone Combo then the 98 Custom would be the way to go. Refer to the ACT vs. 98 Custom thread. |

Phil, he wants to know if the Custom Pro is better than the basic Custom. He also says what ever one he decides on will have A.C.T. He doesn't want the older 98 without A.C.T. So again what does this have to do with your thread?

Sorry I read his question over too quick. I didn't realize it was an ACT vs. ACT question thanks for clarifying that TIPPY98ACT.
