r/t and cyclone issues

   ok guys i have a little problem with my tippmann.  I'm using a 98 custom and decided to throw a cyclone on it with a response trigger.  I've also upgraded to the bigger lines and the qev setup.  Now the cyclone won't feed.  I've also upgraded the internal workings on the cyclone replacing the plastic crap with metal components.  It works with just the cyclone and the response works no matter what.  I know i'm just not getting enough pressure to power the cyclone but i don't have any idea on how or why.  Oh and i've tried co2 and hpa.  Has anybody had this issue and can anybody give me any insight on how to fix this?

	You will probably have to take every piece off an install each one by one to see what is causing your problems. (by internal workings you mean the vortex mod?!??)

	Dumb question but, did you remember to open your velocity screw enough after you installed the cyclone? If you already checked this than phil is right something is (starving) your setup. Edited by TIPPY98ACT - 02 February 2007 at 12:47am

	Yes i did adjust the velocity screw, and yes i do mean the vortex mod.

	Do you have the Palmer's QEV? If so it might need adjustment

	Did the cyclone ever work with the vortex mod? If so disregard this info: I did the vortex mod and noticed that its possible to have the "pin" (that holds the little piston/reset-rod connected to the vortex ) not fully in the vortex metal. When the cyclone is put back together the pin can rub the inside of the cyclone housing and cause the feed to stick. It rubs on the underside of the cyclone housing if you're looking at the gun straight up. I had to polish my pin to make it totally smooth with the vortex mod piece so there was no friction against the cyclone underside. Does the cyclone reset when you press it manually?

	yeah i've tried it without the qev and the cyclone will work on its own if i reconnect the line without the response.

	Try putting it back to stock and verify that it works. Then redo the mods one by one and see where the fault is. It may take a little longer but process of elimination has always worked for me.

	Its not a question of whether or not the gun works. It fires no matter what. I'm just having an issue with the cyclone feeding while my response is connected as well. Thats it. Edited by krazyk - 06 February 2007 at 7:08pm
