My tippmanns. Bad pics. Posting just for the hell of it.

From left to right. Top to bottom.

Scrap receivers. Used for ideas or just testing things. Random spray paint. Old rental gun.

First 98C I owned. Has a fair amount of milling. Has a few defects that will be repaired soon. Going to give it to my friend.

Old set of 98 receivers. Used to be a friends gun. Milling out the internals for ebolt. Put some alumaloy in them and blistered the paint. Not sure what I am going to do it with.

CF'd set of receivers. Completely stock and in perfect condition. Was going to be for 'Trix rebuild. Not sure what will happen to them.

TE 98. Camo'd on the ouside. Milling for eyes as we speak. Should be done soon.

Gripless 98. Old rental gun. Looking to put on a Timmy or a Shocker frame. Long way to go.

Sear tripper 98. LPK. WAS board. Back up when the ebolts go down.

Original Matrix'd 98. Still thinking on how to fix it up. Bought a new Matrix board for it. New noid is on the way. Open to ideas on how to reassemble the grip frame.

I started with one and then all of the sudden I have 8. It's weird really. Two of them don't really count. The scrap one isn't worth anything but scrap and the other one is going to a friend. Down to only 6 98s before to long.

Nice collection. Sounds like there is a lot of potential lying there. Was that PCF's Matrix'd 98c for a while?

You have have obviously never heard of Shorty's Law, which states that anyone who owns more than 10 guns will never be able to keep more than one in working order at any time except when it is lent to someone other than the owner in which case it will work flawlessly until the owner touches it again.

Too true. I actually started working on them again. I am going to get rid of some of the shells. I don't need all the ones I have so I might as well make some money off of them.

I only have one, but one of my friends used to have 8 until he totaled three of them by dropping them into a river.
Tippmanns are cool like Dye's are expensive, and JT Protiums are great markers too!

I plan on having a total of 4 98's when I've got more cash.

Are you trying to be next Natural_Newbie?

If so, that's cool, we don't mind especially if you report on your successes (and even failed modifications).  The more people try to modify and do new things to their markers the more we learn.  I honestly love tinkering around with this stuff too.

Eventually I will start writing my own mods and reports on which things or which setups are better what some setup allow improve etc.  I'll post vids up on performance etc.  But that will be in a good while from now.  I'll have to earn a little more respect here before people will even want to listen to any advice I have to say.

Personal rant/

BTW I've wanted to talk to you about ebolts cause you seem to know sooo much about them.  Could you add me on msn?  My msn email is phil_stl@hotmail.com

Anyway, once again that is pretty awesome set of 98's!

Not when it hit the rocks and then was tossed down it and stayed in the little pond over night.

I meant for it to be taken as a complement.  There are only a few people I know from the Internet that I think have lots paintball smarts.

Natural_Newbie, Bruce A. Frank, and karll.

All three of you know a lot about the ebolt.  Natural_Newbie invented incredible plans and mods for many cool things on the 98.

Bruce seems to have an abundance of knowledge about everything, going from electronic parts and elements to stabalization theories, lots about internals too.

You seem to like another ebolt pro and continue reporting about how your mods (from Natural_N) are going and you are seeing if there are any ways you can improve things (didn't you make a new better ebolt rod?) and you report back and let us know about this stuff.

As you can see I'm really interested in the ebolt and respect those that know more than I, cause I'm obviously still learning.
