THis is a picture update of my Mil Sim spyder.........i am hoping to get a stock for it soon...

IMG_0028THis is my homade barrel shroud, i you need to make one is pipe incilation and eather black duck tape or electrical tape.Cut the incilation to the lenght of the barrle you want to put it over and then rap the tape around it , and boom you have a cheap way of making you gun look kool. Cost me about $2.50 to make.

wow thats ugly, and definitely not milsim.

 

a) Milsim is supposed to look like and if possible simulate actual weapons to the greatest degree possible.

b) Painting you gun black, so it looks like you have less painting skills than a 3 year old on crack, and covering your blue barrel in so much tape that you use the entire roll isn't milsim, and it isn't pleasant to look at... Its called a kindergarten art project that got an F.

i think it looks crappy.  modding a gun pretty much means making you gun look like another gun or a different style of gun. alls you did was wrap the barrel with tape, that is not making the gun look any different its just making the gun look like its wrapped in tape.

I didnt realize black electrical tape was that ,,,, expensive .

But , I am assuming your resources are limited , so good try ,,  next step is to buy a can of Krylon and some sandpaper . Plug the ends of the barrel with some toilet paper to keep the paint out of the barrel and have fun .
SL68-II , micro honed and polished .688" bore . Tuff Enuf .
