I've had my 98 for about  4 years now, and it's had plenty of use.
I had one problem with the trigger sear once but  a few bucks and that got fixed.    What's gonna be the next thing to go?

How long do the internals last?
In a world where everyone has gone mad, only the lunatic is truly sane.

If kept oiled and clean with occasional "O" ring replacement...5 to 10 years between failures is reasonable. (disregarding manufacturer's defects, such as the recent improperly hardened sear and hammer)

I couldn't seeing anything messing up besides a few o-rings, and possibly the sear or hammer. Otherwise it would most likely be the user's fault.

I've rarely had any malfunctions with my 98C , except the ones I've caused , Oh Side note , at roughly 50,000 rounds now and replacing my ball latch , its starting to double feed , picked up two today , should be good for a while
SL68-II , micro honed and polished .688" bore . Tuff Enuf .
Widowmaker , under construction
