this is an idea i got while  surfing the  web:

paint the front and back sights like this:

 http://www.brightsights.com/images/application_gunhand.gif

the sights on tippmanns are black so it makes them

hard to aim, in dark places like forests

and it is REALLY inexpensive, and easy to install.
^^correct me if im wrong^^

I wish I could take the night sights off my Glock 33 and put them on my Tippmann!

Hoooray for Tritium!

Just remember kiddies! Don't lick stick the brush in your mouth to wet the bristles or you could end up like them.

There is no radium paint available to any civilian in the world today. There are no radium faced clocks or instruments used anywhere. If you take an vintage airplane in to have repairs made and they discover that you have antique gauges that use radium on the dial faces, they will call the EPA and a hazmat team. You may be required to remove the instrument and turn it over to a government agency.

The "glow in the dark" paints used today are "flurescent"...stimulated by exposure to light and fade after a few minutes...contain NO radioactive components.

Tritium is even more closely controlled requiring government permits up the whazoo for the manufacturer to use it on gun sights. The tritium is usually installed in recesses so that it cannot be worn off during use. It is not a "paint" available at the hobby store.

Awww, way to ruin my fun Bruce! I do know that flourescents used for night-sights on military and police gear, as well as many of the sights from makers such as sig-sauer and springfield DO use tritium, but yes, you're right, they do recess the tritium in it. Not to mention that the inverse square law dictates that the exposure factor for two dots of tritium at a 24 year life (12y half-life approx) would be less harmful to you than a full day in the sun. It would, however, easily be absorbed into certain parts of the body but not the bone structure which is what makes radium, radon, cesium 137 and strontium 90 all particularly nasty radioisotopes.

Now, have we completely confused the crap out of everyone else in this thread yet or what?
