Hey I've have a few random questions that have been jumping around in my head, here they are:

Has anyone heard of this marker: Disruptive Paintball Disruptor Pro-Cut I just found out about it and it seems better than the Cyborg I want and maybe even the legend (as in speed wise).  How good is it?

What was the fastest any marker has ever gone when shooting paintballs and being feed be either a hopper or Q-loader or actually anything.  Does anyone know and have info on it.  Someone told me a marker shot in a lab 45 bps... is this true?  So what gun was it and what was feeding the paint.

Also I had an idea about when painting my barrel I could stick playdough inside the barrel - then with a long rod of sorts I could push the playdough into the porting so it comes out on the other side (outside of barrel) a little.  Then l could paint it without getting paint inside the barrels porting.  Anyone think this would work or if it's a good idea or does anyone have any better ideas?

Fastest marker recorded was I believe some franken mag (No, not The franken mag which has so many wires and pneus and thw warp feed so you cannot see the body). It was a Mag with a Q-Loader and a Scuba tank. I believe it was used to test the Q Loader.

As for painting the barrel ive herd of using rags inside the barrel.

1. How do you consider that thing to be "better..."

2. Mag of some kind with a 2k psi input, Q Loader at 34.5 BPS.  http://www.zakvetter.com/paintball_videos/34bps.mov

3. I wouldn't paint it unless it means very little to you.

first... 34.5bps = insane

second, i agree with ekeboo

third, if you really want to try it, try it on a useless barrel (your stock one) first

Fastest I've ever seen was a QEV'ed Osiris, 35.2bps, the new '07 egos are reported to clock in a 32-33bps, theoretically, you can cycle a shocker insanely high, but the spool valve recharge rate keeps it from going very high.

As for that chop-shop 'cocker you posted. Basically you just loose the back block and cocking rod out the back of the marker. It doesn't make it much faster, you loose some weight and the pump stroke is slightly shorter, but that's about it. I can QEV the crap out of a karni or similar marker and get the rate up faster. Until someone else decides to go the PGI route and make a 'cocker a electropneumatic, you won't see much higher than the osiris.

Forget the playdough, it could create potential problems of its own inside your barrel. Getting paint in the porting is not a problem, but getting paint on the inner barrel surface through the ports could be. Roll a paper towel up as tight as you can and slide it in your barrel. Do not remove the paper towel until well after the paint has dried to prevent smearing wet paint from the towel on the barrel interior. If, by some unlikely mishap, porting actually gets blocked by the paint, just push it out with a toothpick after the paint is dry.

Ya I though the play dough could be bad inside a barrel I just didn't want to ask cause well I'm sure you know why.

Anyway thanks guys.

Shockers can already cycle extremely high.  If anyone remembers the old shocker I had that was one of Dynasty's gats, we got it to shoot at around 33-34 with a Cheetah'd Halo with the LPR(I think)  turned way up.

Shockers with an LPR = extremely uncommon

And I've never seen Dynasty use a Shocker with one.

Like I said, I didn't think it was an LPR, but it all started when we stripped the Vertical ASA.  We strapped some type of something or other between the reg and the body, and it was definately NOT just a vert. asa.

You'd have to be re-charging the spool valve at a rather high pressure to actually shoot that many bps and not just be cycling the marker. Like I said, I don't doubt it could be done, but I just wonder what effect it would have on efficiency, accuracy, etc.

True, true, but I used to achieve that with a slider-frame 'cocker

That said, I'm hanging the DM up for the next two outings. I'm shooting way too much paint for the effects I'm getting. It doesn't have anything to do with the marker, my fingers just take off and next thing I know, I've run through a hopper. Stupid volumes of paint man, absolutely retarded how fast Freeflow's parts make an LCD.

First,it's not all about speed, I always see Nubs with like DM's and PM's getting owned by kids with Phantoms and Snipers.

And don't use play-doh because it sticks to things and is very messy. I used paper owels or cotton.

Thinking about it...
