Ive been on a huge steampunk bender lately, after reading The Difference Engine by Gibson and Sterling, among other things. So I decided to re-work my cocker to a more steampunk theme.

Most of the "work" is done, I cut a new front block bolt, bolt pin, timing collar, pump arm, and other parts out of brass. Put the old stock brass pneumatics on.

Still to do, I need to haul the gripframe into school soon and sandblast the stubborn anno and paint off it, find some sort of brass LPR, get a funky old school brass barrel, and I really want to engrave the brass side panels with some kind of old victorian look. The only problem is I kinda suck at artsy type stuff of that sort.

That looks awesome, I think a brass barrel might be over kill, but I could be wrong. Nice job so far.

It is a thing of beauty.

A big noisy brass barrel is a must for this project.

Nicely done.
Wish I had kept all the brass barrels I had. I think I had at least one with Cocker threads... coulda sent it to you.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product. The work-in-progress is more than impressive as it stands.

you could always draw something up in a CAD program or rip an image off the internet somewhere and CNC it if you have access to CNC mill.

Going for my associates degree in manufacturing technology, majoring in CNC programming. That gray block with a bunch of holes in it in the background of the first pic is one of my old projects.

That, enos, is seriously a work of art.  One, i can appreciate the cocker itself, and two, it just looks amazing.  I love it.
